Region Gävleborg chooses Gordon for quality-assured transport of laboratory samples and medicines
Transporting laboratory samples and medicines places the highest possible demands on temperature control, quality and delivery reliability. When Region Gävleborg needed to procure its daily transport services between hospitals, Gordon was the preferred choice.

Gordon's assignment for Region Gävleborg includes daily transport of laboratory samples, medicines, blood products and other sensitive products between hospitals in the region, as well as Akademiska Sjukhuset in Uppsala and Karolinska in Stockholm. Transports follow fixed routes and a fixed schedule. Delays exceeding a certain number of minutes must be reported immediately to the Region.

Tough requirements and real-time monitoring
The requirements in the tender for ‘Transport of laboratory samples and medicines’ are clear. Transports must be temperature-controlled and must remain within carefully specified temperature ranges, all year round and in all weather conditions. Gordon's vehicles are equipped with sensors that continuously read and report the temperature from several measuring points in the cargo area. The temperature is logged continuously and, via Gordon's digital last-mile platform, the customer can see the temperature in real time.

Ready for new distance selling regulations
Gordon's ability to meet the high quality requirements of the assignment from Region Gävleborg is largely based on the company's extensive temperature-controlled infrastructure and network of efficient delivery partners. So when the new and stricter distance selling regulations for pharmacies' home deliveries to private individuals come into force in November, Gordon will be ready to deliver.
