Valentine's Day was the first successful test of the new co-operation between the flower chain Euroflorist and the last mile company Gordon in Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
The co-operation between Euroflorist and Gordon started on a smaller scale in December 2022 and is unique in its kind. This is the first time that the concept of home delivery of chilled flower boxes is used in the Nordic countries. In other European countries, it is a long-established concept.
The new partnership meant that there were extra boxes in Gordon's chilled distribution centres the day before Valentine's Day. Once on Valentine's Day, the flowers with hot love greetings were delivered along with other chilled goods in Gordon's coordinated delivery flows.
- We are very pleased to be able to complement our delivery capabilities with Gordon as one of our important partners, says Johan Ryding Managing Director at Euroflorist Scandinavia.
- At Gordon, we want to make people's lives easier by offering temperature-controlled and coordinated home deliveries. When we started delivering food from grocery stores and ready-made dinner solutions in the evenings and at weekends, we challenged familiar patterns. Last year, we did the same when we pioneered home deliveries of chilled medicines. Now we are proud to let Euroflorist flowers keep their beauty all the way to their recipients," says Ali Ghoce.
