People in the Stockholm area can now collect their online grocery orders from two new refrigerated parcel lockers. The last-mile delivery company Gordon has installed them at Nacka Forum and Liljeholmskajen, bringing Gordon's total number of parcel lockers in the Stockholm area to six.
Gordon placed its first parcel lockers, known as Gordon Pickups, in December 2021 in Telefonplan in Hägersten and at Skrapan in Södermalm. Since then, more and more people have chosen to use this option.
– Gordon Pickup makes it more flexible for those ordering food for home delivery. Instead of having to be home at a specific time, it's now possible to pick up the food from a refrigerator over a longer period, says Noah Dager, project manager for Gordon Pickup.
Several Coop stores in the Stockholm area have offered pick-up from one of Gordon's lockers since the beginning.

Gordon's chilled cabinets at locations close to home is also a way to develop more sustainable delivery solutions in the grocery trade," says Johanna Geijer, Head of Online and Flow of Goods for Coop Stores & Supermarkets.
A coordinated infrastructure for refrigerated cabinets
Over the four weeks before Christmas, 251 deliveries were collected from the four refrigerated parcel lockers that were available then. This means that receiving your food delivery in this way has become three times more common just during the autumn.
– We are building a new structure for Stockholmers to use for grocery shopping, says Noah Dager.
In 2022, Gordon's refrigerated home deliveries, primarily of food and medicines, increased by 50 percent to almost 6 million deliveries in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland.
– Gordon Pickup is part of our effort to coordinate deliveries from meal kit companies, grocery retailers, and local food producers. Instead of each company setting up its own refrigerated parcel lockers, Gordon is now building an infrastructure that is open for many to use, says Ali Ghoce, CEO of Gordon.
Today, 16 of the companies that Gordon handles deliveries for in the Stockholm area offer the option to collect food from a Gordon Pickup locker.
To collect your chilled delivery from Gordon Pickup, you will need
- That you live within a few kilometres' radius of one of the cabinets.
- That you order your food from one of the 16 companies (see below) that Gordon partners with.
- That you state that you want to collect your delivery from the locker when you receive an SMS from Gordon stating that the delivery is on its way. If you are a Coop customer, choose delivery to the lockers on the website when you pay.
At all Gordon Pickups in the Stockholm area, deliveries can be collected between 13:00 and 23:00. The exception is the locker at Skrapan, which closes at 19:00.
