The CEO and founder of last-mile company Gordons, Ali Ghoce, today received the award "Pioneer of the Year" in Swedish business life when Carl XVI Gustaf presented awards for "Newcomer of the Year".

It is the Foundation for International Entrepreneurs in Sweden, IFS, that awards prizes to the New Entrepreneur of the Year among entrepreneurs in Sweden with a foreign background. The Pioneer of the Year award is given to an entrepreneur who has been active for at least five years, can show continuous growth, and has taken their company to a new level.
Ali Ghoce founded the last-mile company Gordon in 2015 together with Per Källgården. The company works with home deliveries of chilled food from meal kit companies, grocery retailers, and food producers. When Gordon was formed, Ali Ghoce himself packed the food. Today, in a month, Gordon can handle 600,000 home deliveries in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland, and the business continues to grow. The aim now is to establish Gordon in the UK.
– I don't have any academic education, but I've always worked on self-education. I want to encourage everyone who isn't doing so well in school, to show them that it's possible to educate yourself, move forward, and achieve life goals, says Ali Ghoce.
Gordon has grown every year since its inception and continues to do so. Last year Gordon's turnover was SEK 411 million, and this year turnover is expected to increase by just over 40 percent. October this year was the company's best month ever in terms of turnover.
New this year is that the Foundation for International Entrepreneurs in Sweden has entered into a collaboration with the Stockholm School of Economics, where the recipients of the "New Builder of the Year" award will talk about their work as entrepreneurs to inspire young people in socially disadvantaged areas.

Despite limited prior knowledge of the conservative logistics industry, Ali has strategically positioned his company. Through clever innovative technical solutions, Gordon Services is today a leader in its niche, operating in several countries. Ali works with sustainable transport that minimises both carbon emissions and food waste.”

Gordon was founded in 2015 and currently carries out over 600,000 last-mile deliveries of chilled food and pharmaceuticals every month in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. Gordon coordinates chilled deliveries from companies that sell food online with home delivery. In 2021, the company had a turnover of 411 million kronor, and the forecast for 2022 is that turnover will increase by just over 40 percent.
