Last summer's heatwave highlighted the importance of an unbroken cold chain for food deliveries. For the summer of 2019, Gordon Delivery is introducing its proprietary temperature robot HotBot. HotBot automatically warns both drivers and traffic management before loading and during delivery in case of abnormal temperatures.
A success factor for satisfied customers in refrigerated deliveries is, of course, that the refrigerated goods remain refrigerated throughout the delivery. After last summer's record-breaking heat, Gordon Delivery is now doing everything possible to ensure efficient and spotless delivery.
Each truck is equipped with three digital thermometers. Gordon's temperature robot, HotBot, automatically coordinates the temperature to both drivers and traffic management. If the cold room, where the goods are stored during delivery, reaches abnormal temperatures, an alert is sent to the traffic management. In addition, the driver concerned receives an SMS warning.
- With this new feature, we are taking the lead in ensuring that our customers' customers receive goods that have travelled at the right temperature," says Andreas Viklund, CTO at Gordon Delivery.
Gordon Delivery was founded in 2015 by Ali Ghoce. Growth has been strong since the start and last year the company had a turnover of over SEK 21 million, an increase of 1300% compared to 2016. Customers include Linas Matkasse, Hemköp and Coop Online.
