– It is fun to work with the people at Gordon's Operation. They are committed and motivated, and when the wind is blowing and problems arise, we stay calm and focus on solutions, says Mikael Sahlsten, Chief Operation Officer at Gordon.
Mikael Sahlsten joined Gordon in 2019, just before the business started to snowball.
– We ran as fast as we could and opened new distribution centres, expanded traffic management and customer service, arranged for vehicles and drivers and put procedures in place with Trustpilot's highest rating in the Nordic region for last mile and growth with existing customers as a result, says Mikael Sahlsten.
The motto for the work is the same then as now: We make sure that the customer can be confident that we solve their needs.
Before joining Gordon, Mikael Sahlsten had been CEO of Hemglass in Norway and Sweden, CEO of Middagsfrid and business area manager at Axfood. At Hemglass, many franchisees handled the day-to-day operations at the warehouses and routes.
– At Gordon, we have control over the entire flow. It's easier, says Mikael Sahlsten.
He also believes that there is a lot of joy and commitment at Gordon, which is a result of the culture within the company.
– It's all about safety and tolerance. We have a nice atmosphere. We want the employees to feel secure in their daily work and enjoy being here. When you are not enough independently, we are a team that solves things together. We help each other, says Mikael Sahlsten.
