Gordon Delivery presents its annual report for 2021 and makes a fantastic result with a revenue increase of 300 percent compared to the same period last year. Revenue for 2021 was 413 million SEK, with a positive result.
– It feels fantastic to be able to present a profitable result for the first time as well as an increase in revenue of as much as 300 percent. Since the beginning, our goal has been to build a financially sustainable company with strong growth.The fact that we are already profitable is clear proof that our business concept is strong and that the market understands and needs our niche offering. We understand our customers’ challenges and needs and have built a stable and reliable platform. Now the next step is to scale up further and we are aiming for Europe with the UK as the first expansion market outside the Nordics, says Ali Ghoce CEO and co-founder of Gordon Delivery.
– In 2021, Gordon has reached critical volume to achieve profitability in the more mature markets Sweden and Denmark, which is an important factor for the success of the past year. We have also proven that our business model is scalable in a cost-effective way, says Mathias Malmlöf, CFO at Gordon Delivery.
An eventful 2021 for Gordon Delivery
During 2021 new shares were issued and thereby the equity stake increased by 150 MSEK. Among the investors for the new issues of shares were both existing owners and new shareholders, amongst them eEquity as a new growth investor. The new issue of shares was based on a business valuation of 1,15 billion SEK
Further in 2021, Gordon launched in two new markets, Norway and Finland. The company also launched a new service called ”Gordon Pickup”, a pilot project with refrigerated and frozen parcel lockers, to which consumers can have their food delivered. The service is a complement to home deliveries and enables Gordon’s customers to reach even more consumers and further strengthen their offering to end customers. Gordon also got a new chairman of the board in Anders Nyberg, who has a background as deputy CEO of ICA and Axfood and as CEO of Apoteket Hjärtat, which he co-founded in 2009.

The company specializes in digitized flows of temperature-controlled last mile deliveries.
